Lost faerie
Chapter 1, in which Maddy looks for the end of the rainbow All of this didn’t happen very long time ago. But it was long enough for the world to change. Anyway, it was the time without computers, internet and cell phones. Those days children used to spend a lot of time outside, playing together in the courtyards of tenement houses and running through the city streets. However, they had to be careful, because the town was quite big and it was easy to get lost there. The city was situated on the hill by the river. At the top of that hill there was a castle. Wide, tree-lined avenue led down from the castle to the main bridge. The other streets were narrower and less well-kept. They looked gloomy due to the soot covering the walls of the buildings. But the trams in the city were blue and rang joyfully at the stops. The largest of old tenement houses had courtyards with gardens. Maddy liked a lot wandering around and looking for such hidden scraps of greenery. She used to walk alone
